Required Qualifications:

A Baccalaureate degree in health, health promotion or related field, or relevant equivalent experiences. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Indigenous health.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with urban and rural FNMI people/communities in an Indigenous organization. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Working knowledge of the healthcare system. Effective communication, influencing and organizational skills. Client-focused with a commitment to providing quality services. Proven ability to foster partnerships, establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, include public agencies and government. Understanding of the politically sensitive nature of working with multiple stakeholders. Ability to function with flexibility in a dynamic and changing environment. Initiative, good judgement, accountability. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrates good written skills and use of relevant computer software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in healthcare or related field. Healthcare administration experience. Ability to speak or understand any of the traditional languages within Northern Alberta.
