Extensive clinical or health system experience required. Leadership and/or Educator experience required. Undergraduate degree required. A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in clinical roles in the provision of healthcare or a strong working knowledge and intimate understanding of healthcare delivery. If Applicable membership in good standing with appropriate professional organization (i.e., CARNA, HSAA, etc.) Working knowledge of the Alberta Health Services and the Clinical Informatics function. Travel within Alberta and to the United States is required
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proven strong organization skills, excellent communication and interview skills, excellent interpersonal and team building skills. Must have the ability to manage other trainers to deliver electronic medical record (EMR) clinical and operations training to a diverse set of end users. Must have demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead others. Ability to actively and positively participate and negotiate solutions to resolve conflicts that may arise. Detail oriented and skilled information gathering in order to fully understand the learning requirements of stakeholders. Ability to work in a team environment to build and maintain positive working relationships with vendor staff and external consultants will be key success factors in this role. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines are essential. Must have working knowledge of basic systems principles, theories and concepts and of the healthcare operations. Self motivated requiring minimal supervision. Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting and computer work.
Preferred Qualifications:
CIS application curriculum development and training experience is highly desirable. Current Epic Principal Training Certification an asset. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Clinical background preferred.
