Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy. 5 years current relevant experience within an acute care setting. Demonstrated leadership in Respiratory Therapy. Excellent and current knowledge in all clinical aspects of service delivery within Respiratory Therapy. Must be able to integrate and apply clinical excellence in the day to day operations.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Computer skills essential. Familiarity with applicable legislation and professional Standards of Practice. Demonstrated optimism and enthusiasm about the Respiratory Therapy Department with commitment to continuous quality improvement. Demonstrated managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management, organization and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience.
