Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduation from a recognized school of Respiratory Therapy and have successfully passed the National Respiratory Certification Exam as administered by the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA) or the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, have a positive attitude, initiative and be highly motivated with the ability to work independently. Must have previous experience in Operating Rooms with current certifications in intubation, arterial line insertion and autologous transfusion required. Must be currently be a Respiratory Therapist II. Must be available for a 5 week orientation program.
Preferred Qualifications:2-3 years of experience in a tertiary teaching hospital. CSRT membership. ACLS certification preferred.
