Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful candidate must be a graduate from a recognized school of Respiratory Therapy and have passed the National Respiratory Certification Exam as administered by the College of Respiratory Therapy of Alberta (CRTA) or the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT). Current active registration in good standing with CRTA and current basic life support certification is required. The incumbent must have 5 years current acute care experience in a tertiary teaching hospital with 3 years current critical care experience. You must have demonstrated leadership skills, possess excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, have a positive attitude, demonstrated initiative, be highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:Current advanced life support certifications specific to the role, relevant baccalaureate degree and or supervisory training/certification. Current Rapid Response team member, be arterial line insertion certified.
