Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education (CoARTE). Current BLS-HCP with the physical ability to perform CPR on adult patients. Recent Ambulatory care experience within the last 2 years. Recent Experience with Respiratory education, management, oxygen funding, CPAP/BPAP funding pathways, inhaled medications within the last 2 years. A working knowledge Connect Care, Netcare, Outlook and Word as well as other applications is required. Must have excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member. The candidate needs to be able to work independently and needs to have high organizational and prioritizing skills. An intermediate level of physical activity is required to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders frequently, looking up frequently, prolonged periods of keyboard computer work and the ability to assist patients with mobility limitations is required (i.e., transfers, bariatric clients, bending, stooping, twisting, walking distances). Must be able to lift and carry 10-15kg regularly. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds.
