Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta. Independent experience in an Acute Care Setting. Current CPR certification. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work under pressure and handle competing priorities. Demonstrates the ability to identify learning needs, seeks out learning opportunities and professional development courses that will assist in achieving goals. Proven advanced decision making and problem solving abilities. Proven attention to detail with high level of accuracy. Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs. Ability to push/pull a stretcher. Ability to lift 15 lbs. up to waist height. Ability to wear an N95 mask for long periods of time. Ability to climb 2 flights of stairs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in dim conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced pulmonary function testing, bronchial challenge testing, ISA testing, and pentamidine delivery. Bronchoscopy EBUS Head of Bed experience. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy clinic experience. Certified Asthma, COPD or Respiratory Educator preferred.
