Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Current BCLS-HCP certification including expiration date. Minimum 1-year independent clinical Respiratory Therapy experience within the last 5 years in an acute care hospital setting. Consideration may be given to graduates of a Respiratory Therapy program who have completed a final practicum in an acute care setting. Independent clinical RRT experience in a Level II/III NICU within the last 5 years. Current NRP Certification, including expiration date. This RRT position includes the following physical requirements: being on one's feet for extended periods of time (including walking/standing), exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situations for which they are trained; be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients; be able to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 20lbs and sometimes exceeding 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of independent clinical Respiratory Therapy experience within the last 5 years in an acute care hospital setting (NICU/Wards/ED/ICU). Minimum 2 years independent clinical RRT experience in a Level II/III NICU within the last 5 years. Current PALS, ACLS, CRE Certification, including expiration date. Experience with Connect Care. Preceptor training courses. Completed orientation to the PLC site.
