Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Current BLS certification, including expiration date. Minimum 1 year of independent clinical Respiratory Therapy experience within the last 3 years in an acute care hospital setting. This RRT position includes the following physical requirements: Standing and walking for extended periods of time, exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situation. Be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients, be able to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment such as life support equipment up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

NRP/PALS/ACLS certifications. CRE/CAE/CTE certifications. Charge experience. Demonstrated competency in arterial line insertion and adult intubation. Level II/III NICU Case Room and Intubation competency.
