Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Qualifications:The successful candidate must be a graduate from a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy and eligible to write, or have passed, the National Respiratory Certification Exam as administered by the Canadian Board for Respiratory Care (CBRC). (BLS-HCP) certification is required. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, have a positive attitude and highly motivated, able to work in a team and independently. The successful candidate is responsible for provide proof of active registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA) and to maintain registration throughout the duration of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:The preferred qualifications include: Current acute care experience in a tertiary teaching hospital, current advanced life support certifications specific to the role, current Adult Critical Care experience, orientation to the postings core areas, demonstrated ability to preceptor students, demonstrated leadership development, demonstrated participation in quality initiatives and promoting the Respiratory Therapy profession.
