Non-restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as an Primary Care Paramedic (PCP). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must be able to obtain a valid class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent and a five (5) year driver abstract current within six (6) months with no more than six (6) demerits prior to commencing work. Proof of the successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test via the certificate provided by the Lifemark organization, who do not already hold a clinical position within AHS EMS (VESST, Clinical Educator, EMR, PCP, ACP and Community Paramedic). Your F.A.R.E. test must be completed no more than six (6) months prior to the date of your application. Alberta Health Services EMS may verify results with Lifemark to ensure the candidate has successfully completed the test. Additional Required Qualifications:Successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector search, from a law enforcement agency, prior to their first day of work (CRC/VSS must be dated no more than 90 days prior to the date on the written offer letter and prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:Current certification in ITLS and additional, related post-secondary program completion is preferred.
