Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as Primary Care Paramedic. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum two years of Registered Primary Care Paramedic experience. Knowledge and experience working with both diverse and vulnerable populations. Working with a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge and experience with harm reduction based theories and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:Post-secondary education applicable to the position (e.g. social work, psychology, sociology). Leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in harm reduction and overdose response. Knowledge of problems encountered by Indigenous people in using health care services, and of health care systems providing care to Indigenous people. Knowledge of an Indigenous language.
