Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years (0.5 – 1.0 full time equivalency) of recent experience as nurse in Hemodialysis required (within the last 5 years). Involvement in developing/delivering and implementing educational programs or initiatives an asset. Time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize competing demands. Leadership skills, including excellent analytical skills, a demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and ability to build confidence in others. Effective communicator with strong organization skills and commitment to providing quality services. Knowledge of practice-related education resources to support staff. Demonstrated knowledge of case management. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. (18 kg).
Preferred Qualifications:Teaching/facilitation skills to patients/staff utilizing knowledge of adult learning principles. Connect Care experience an asset. Experience as a vascular access nurse. C Neph.
