Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have min 1 year experience within the last year in Acute Adult Medicine. The following advanced competencies are required: IV push certification. CVC certification. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent Critical thinking skills and time management. Excellent communication skills. Ability to mentor all levels of learners. Able to manage admissions/discharges and prioritize care needs for Acute Medical population. Must be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated proficiency with SCM and clinical documentation standards. Experience with a care hub and CoACT. Current N95 fit testing is required. The successful applicant will be receptive to and participate in unit and site change initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:Charge Nurse trained. Current ACLS. Acute Bipap Certification. PCA Certification. Chest tube management course completed.
