Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Experience working with children and families required. Minimum 1 year inpatient psychiatry experience required. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, and provide hands on care to patients in unpredictable, urgent situations.
Preferred Qualifications:Degree preferred. Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or Effective De-Escalation Techniques training preferred. Experience with insertion and maintenance of nasogastric feeding tubes preferred. Experience with PICC line maintenance preferred. 2 years current Pediatric Mental Health nursing, preferred.
