Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years current clinical experience working with adults experiencing mental health and addiction issues In addition, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Knowledge of the Continuum of Care in Addiction and Mental Health. Knowledge of Housing Resources in Calgary Zone. Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Clinical skills necessary to conduct psychiatric and psychosocial assessment, treatment planning and crisis intervention, including medication management. Demonstrated responsible decision-making through the application of knowledge, critical thinking and sound legal and ethical judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to work in demanding and dynamic conditions. Thorough and accurate collection and documentation of information. Knowledge of Mental Health Legislation especially related to CTO's. Knowledge and belief in the Patient and Family centered care and recovery focused care Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook, netcare, scm.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate in Nursing. Community Mental Health Outreach experience. Experience working in partnership with a non-profit organization.
