Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:ACLS. Demonstrated head-to-toe assessment skills. Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Demonstrated communication skills promoting respect and team spirit. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Demonstrated accountability for own practice. Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in the post-anesthesia recovery room. Canadian PeriAnesthesia Nursing Certificate. Post-Anaesthesia Care Nursing Course. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Membership with National Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses Canada (NAPAN).
