Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Successful candidates are responsible for providing proof of active registration with CARNA, and to maintain registration throughout the employment relationship. Current BCLS-HCP Mastery in comprehensive patient assessment and decision making. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and independence of nursing practice in a highly functional team environment (balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities). Strong critical thinking skills, along with demonstrated time-management and organization skills in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in adult teaching and education. Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment, constant walking, lifting and bending necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is preferred. Minimum of 2 years, recent experience (within the l(within the last 3-5 years), in an Ambulatory Care/Outpatient/IV Therapy setting is required. PICC experience is preferred. Training and experience utilizing Connect Care; both for scheduling and EMR.
