Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated Computer proficiency, knowledge of nursing standards/protocols as required in the area of specialty. Knowledge of scope of practice as defined by CARNA. Knowledge of CNA code of Ethics
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree with experience in Home Care; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in a community sector will be considered. Applicants with a diploma in nursing and three years recent experience in Home Care, Seniors Health or acute care may be considered. Certification in gerontology, palliative care, wound care and/or foot care an asset.
