Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Three to five years recent relevant Orthopaedic and/or Geriatric nursing experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Keen interest in quality improvement and patient safety. Experience with geriatric patient population. Strong assessment skills. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Other Preferred Qualifications: Experience in case management, including telephone assessment and advice are preferred. Experience in program development, research, and database management are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Strong leadership and organizational skills. Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Flexible, creative, and able to adapt easily to a changing environment. Proven reliability and dependability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working with provincial committees and virtual teams. Skilled in web-based communication and learning content management systems. Experience in project management, design, implementation, and evaluation.
