Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum two (2) years nursing experience obtained within the past 3 years working greater than 0.70 FTE in a Calgary or Edmonton Zone Urban Emergency Department. Triage and Trauma trained in a Calgary or Edmonton Zone Urban Emergency Department.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Charge trained in a Calgary Zone Emergency Department. Recent critical care experience (obtained within the past 3 years working greater than 0.50 FTE). ENCP (within 4 years). TNCC (within 4 years). ACCN certification. ACLS (within 2 years). PALS (within 4 years). CTAS Certification. Up to date Annual Continuing Education. Quality Improvement experience. Connect Care trained/Excellent computer skills.
