Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum five years of recent Pediatric Cardiology experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required, along with prior case coordination experience. Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and patient care are essential. Must be self-directed, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to multitask between inpatient and outpatient care and follow up within Scope of Practice is required. Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and meet deadlines, and possess excellent communication, teaching, and public speaking skills. Reliability and leadership in promoting integrated patient care are expected. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Physical demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
Preferred Qualifications:Competency in Connect Care, Netcare and WCCHN programs a definite asset.
