Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum 2 years of recent Diagnostic Imaging Nursing experience or current experience (within the past two years) in Critical Care, Recovery Room or Emergency Department Nursing is required. A high level of Physical Assessment skills. Must be knowledgeable in identifying common Cardiac Arrhythmia. Must be able to work with various health disciplines and demonstrate respect and partnership.
Preferred Qualifications:Interventional Radiology training, Contrast Media Certification, Central Vascular Access Devices (CVAD) Certification, Post Anesthesia recovery of adult/pediatric patients and experience with pediatric IV starts are preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification are definite assets.
