Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in ECG and arrhythmia interpretation. Current Regional certifications for: IV initiation, IV medication administration, including conscious sedation, CVC, Glucometer, ACLS and infusion pumps. Recent experience in Hemodynamic monitoring and pain management. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in the English language is required. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding and dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment. Basic computer skills required. Previous experience in DI interventional and angiography procedures and/or a minimum of five years’ current nursing experience, at least three of which are Critical Care in a tertiary level setting is required.
