Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:The position requires flexibility, adaptability and travelling with your own vehicle. Manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) is a regular part of the job. For example: lifting items (approximately 30 pounds) in and out of a vehicle and carrying this weight up and down stairs throughout the day is common with this job. Learning resources and training are provided to safely perform work. Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience working in a Home Care Setting. Experience working with acute clients and/or long term clients with a focus on chronic disease management. Experience providing case management, client teaching and professional nursing interventions including but not limited to Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wound care and ostomy care. Experience supporting vulnerable clients, those requiring palliative, mental health and/or addictions support.
