Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent critical care experience (3-5) years required. Experience in cardioversion, implantable devices (i.e. Permanent Pacemakers, ICD'S), exercise stress testing, Holter and event recording monitoring interpretation is required. The incumbent should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with computer applications (Paceart Optima). Experience with Connect Care programs (Device Nurse; Cardiac Tech, Cardiology Nurse) required. Ability to handle multiple priorities and readjust on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications:ACLS certification is preferred. Certification with the Heart Rhythm Society is preferred.
