Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Bachelor Degree in Nursing is required. Commitment to working on a dynamic health care team in advancing the care of neuro rehabilitation patients. Intermediate computer skills. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks: Lifting and transferring patients as required. Pushing and pulling items of approximately 50 kgs. Reaching horizontally or above the head. Walking, standing and/or sitting for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Canadian Nurses’ Association (CNA) Certification in Rehabilitation or Neuroscience Nursing is preferred. Canadian Association of Neuroscience Nurses (CANN) member is preferred. Recent experience in rehabilitation nursing, neurosciences nursing or acute medicine/surgery preferred. Demonstrated continuing education in the area of neurosciences is preferred.
