Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Physical ability to perform CPR on Adult Clients is required. Able to lift and carry 10-15 kg regularly. Able to participate and perform hands on care of patients (i.e., transfers, bariatric client assistance) and to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders and looking up frequently, extended periods of keyboarding, walking distances and standing for prolonged periods. Minimum of two years recent experience in adult acute care (Medicine or Surgery) or ambulatory infusion clinic. Competent in PIV, as well as care of CVADs and occlusion management is required. Connect Care required preference to Oncology/Hematology Infusion/Clinic Nurse. Must have excellent communication and documentation skills and the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member.  Recent (within 2 years) experience with wound care, therapeutic phlebotomy, administration of Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (SCIg), experience with paracentesis, and recovery from renal/liver biopsies. Charge Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Competency (within 2 years) experience in administering chemotherapy via intravenous, oral, and subcutaneous routes with OPREP certification.
