Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience triaging and managing referrals. Strong clinical judgement and ability to manage complex cases related to TB and public health. Understanding of TB screening methods, treatment regimens and the implications of TB on public health. Recent experience providing consultation and education to other healthcare providers and the public. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, counsel, and engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex medical needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. N95 Fit test required. Maintaining prolonged postures, and operation of equipment can be common and frequent. Standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, reaching, and carrying loads up to 20 lbs. Patient handling including transfers, repositioning and CPR. Transferring or transporting of supplies, equipment for off-site contact tracing when needed. Ability to perform repetitive computer tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the management of tuberculosis, infectious diseases, and community-based care. Proven ability to apply knowledge of TB transmission, diagnostics, treatment protocols, and public health policies in an ambulatory setting. Experience in case management, patient education, and working with multidisciplinary teams in the context of infectious diseases or public health.
