Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers level C (BCLS-HCP). First Aid. Experience as a Therapy Assistant in a healthcare setting within the last 5 years. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crouching, and reaching while carrying loads of varying size and weights.
Preferred Qualifications:Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation. Experience as a Recreation Therapy Assistant. Experience supporting clients with addiction and mental health concerns. Demonstrated participation and ability to lead individual or group recreation activities. Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.
