Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Neuropsychologists: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology from an accredited university program with specialized doctoral or post-doctoral training in neuropsychology is required. Advanced knowledge and skills in neuropsychology are required for accurate differential diagnoses. Experience conducting neuropsychological assessment with adults is required. Clinical Psychologists: Knowledge, skill and ability to provide psychodiagnostics, personality and cognitive assessments; individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities. Applicable to both roles: Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Experience using electronic medical records (e.g., Connect Care) is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years relevant mental health experience. Supervision may be arranged for a qualified individual with provisional registration. Knowledge, skill and ability to treat substance related and addictive disorders are preferred. Qualified candidates with expertise and/or experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work preferred. Linguistic diversity and proficiency in multiple languages considered an asset.
