Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1-year recent experience providing direct clinical supervision, in the last 3 years. Minimum 3 years prior clinical experience in a community mental health setting providing mental health assessment and intervention(s). Minimum 3 year prior experience providing therapy (group and individual) and restricted psychosocial interventions. Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), interviewing techniques, and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting. Strong knowledge of DSM-5. Demonstrated conflict resolution and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, well organized, efficient, self directed, dependable, and a collaborative systems thinker. Strong computer skills. Formal training or practical experience utilizing CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy. In-Depth knowledge of mental health / Mental Illness required. NVCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a Forensic mental health setting. Experience providing direct clinical care to an offending population/individuals involved with the legal system. Experience working with sexual and intimate partner violence offenders. Experience providing clinical supervision in a community mental health setting. Experience working within the Outpatient Service Redesign (OSR) Model. Current CPR an asset. Experience working within a correctional institution & or with a forensic population.
