Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Psychology from a CPA-accredited university program is required. A Master’s degree together with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience may be considered. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists as a Registered Psychologist is required. Specialized knowledge of various physical/medical conditions (e.g., cerebral palsy, spina bifida), early development, emotional and behavior problems, and Autism Spectrum Disorders is required. Experience in both assessment and treatment of children across the age span with complex presentations is required. Experience in administration and interpretation of common assessment instruments is required (e.g., Bayley-4, WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WIAT-III). Training and experience administering and interpreting the ADOS-2 is an asset. Demonstrated ability to work on a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced outpatient setting is required. Responsible to maintain registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) throughout the duration of employment.
