Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required. Chartered Psychologist designation (or eligible for Chartering) in the province of Alberta with the College of Psychologists (CAP) is mandatory. Recent experience in an acute/chronic mental health care setting is required. Demonstration of excellent assessment, organization, patient care skills and an ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner is necessary. Ability to lead group therapy and work closely with a multidisciplinary team is essential. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

A PhD is preferred. Specialized training in evaluation/counselling of obese clients or eating disorders is preferred.
