High School diploma or equivalent. Active (or eligible) for appointment as a Community Peace Officer with enforcement duties involving the public, as identified by the Province of Alberta/Solicitor General. Successful completion of Alberta Health Services or Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Community Peace Officer Induction Training Program (6 weeks program). Valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Driver's Licence. Valid Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.) completed under 4:45 minute, within 6 months prior to commencing employment.
Additional Required Qualifications:The candidate must prove that they have successfully completed a PARE Fitness test in under 4 minutes 45 seconds. The PARE must be successfully completed within 6 months as of June 6, 2025, and submitted to the interview team, no later than April 17, 2025. The Candidate must also have a valid Current First Aid and CPR Level C – AED certification.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to the candidates with two years’ post-secondary education in Security, Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice. Preference will also be given to those candidates who have two years’ security/law enforcement experience. CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention training, Pressure Point Control Tactic Certificates and experience within a healthcare setting are also assets.
