Your Opportunity:

The Accommodation Planner reports directly to the Program Manager, South Sector, Space Management, Capital Management. This position provides space planning solutions and advice to external stakeholders based on information gathered during an investigative process to understand their operational requirements. The successful candidate will be capable of independently managing multiple complex projects and tasks with competing priorities. There will be daily communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Description:

The Accommodation Planner provides advice to ensure that user’s operational needs are met, and future needs are considered and assists in the development of assigned projects and space plans. The Planner plays a key role within the planning team in responding to user requests as well as aiding in the implementation of space plans in line with the goals and objectives established within Planning Team. This position works independently and is responsible and accountable for: site evaluations, data collection and analysis, advice and collaboration with internal stakeholders regarding lease renewals, space utilization, space allocations, project coordination. The planner will also advise and collaborate with external stakeholders regarding space utilization and allocations, and project coordination. The Planner will provide input to space inventories and written reports on functional space planning including current characteristics and analysis of future requirements, to inform briefing notes and other formal written reports. The Planner will participate in the development of performance improvement metrics, reporting on all Key Performance Indicators. The Planner will develop an understanding and adherence to standardized lean processes, use of appropriate forms and templates and be accountable for adhering to established Accommodation Planning standards, processes and policies. This position requires an abundance of diplomacy and tact in day-to-day interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree or Certification in Social Sciences, Interior Design or Architecture from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience working in a complex organization of significant size.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel. Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe, PowerPoint.
