Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years Acute Care experience working as an Physiotherapist in the last 5 years required. Minimum of 1 year of proven leadership experience within the last 2 years. Candidates with other relevant clinical/Leadership experience may be considered. Recent attendance at leadership courses/workshops/Education. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Heart and Stroke BCLS-HCP CPR certification and Its your Move training required. Effective time management and prioritization skills are required. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills is required. Work tasks and charting is computer based so there are extensive repetitive motion tasks. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, or standing as well as repetitive movements. Must be able to participate in hands on care of patients (i.e., transfers, bariatric clients, bending, Reaching, twisting, and walking distances). Must be able to lift and carry 10-15 kg regularly if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years clinical experience as a physiotherapist working in acute care preferred. 3 Years of leadership experience preferred. Experience with Alpha Fim preferred. AADL Authorizer preferred. Education Completed within Vestibular, MSK and C-spine. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Experience with Connect Care preferred. Experience Working within the ICU and ER preferred.
