Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent adult acute care experience required. Must have experience in an inpatient acute care setting including familiarity with medically complex and critically ill patients. Experience with outpatient rehabilitation is required. Knowledge and experience of pre and post-transplant surgery conditions is required; cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is an asset. Experience assigning, supervising, and evaluating tasks provided to therapy assistants is required. You are able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impacts, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate to effectively plan treatments and discharges from hospital. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who is flexible in using their time effectively by prioritizing competing tasks. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Basic computer skills, and ability navigating Netcare, Outlook and other electronic medical records are required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an outpatient setting. Experiences with the complex patient populations (chronic disease management, pulmonary, post ICU) and different environments (acute, community, post-acute) are assets. Connect Care training is preferred.
