Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have at least 1 year of experience with assessing and treating patients within inpatient acute care population. Knowledge and experience of neurological conditions and stroke. You are able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impacts, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate to effectively plan treatments and discharges from hospital. You can work independently and as a part of the team, creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who is flexible in using their time effectively by prioritizing competing tasks. Knowledge and experience of the application of the Destination Home philosophy and awareness of community resources in and around Edmonton is required. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Basic computer skills and ability navigating Netcare, Outlook and other electronic medical records are required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a critical care setting within the neuro ICU is preferred. Connect Care training is an asset. Experience with community partners and complex discharge planning an asset.
