Bachelor in Health Services Administration, Business or other clinical undergraduate degree. Two to three years project management experience. Experience with relational databases and information systems management and define assets. Significant experience with physician engagement, health care experience and/or project management could substitute for an undergraduate degree.
Additional Required Qualifications:Broad understanding of regionalized healthcare system, the overall direction of AHS and Edmonton Zone operational issues. Customer focused. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to summarize complex ideas and scenarios; clearly articulate these to others; employ diplomacy and sensitivity in communications in what can often be delicate, politically sensitive or emotionally charged situations or relationships and ensure accuracy of meaning, particularly when dealing with contractual discussions or negotiations. Attention to detail and persistence in fulfilling the appropriate aspects of the recruitment cases and practitioner letters of offer. Very strong analytic and critical thinking skills and in particular the ability to: Quickly identify and communicate areas of commonality and difference. Identify and articulate principals and underlying particular approaches/strategies and extrapolate on those principals. Identify short term, intermediate steps that contribute to long term goals. Identify and anticipate issues, gauge their level of risk to AHS and identify options for mitigation. Ability to observe trends in activity and make recommendations about how to manage these issues. Ability to analyze complex cases and determine the most expeditious course of action to meet policy requirements and clinical demands. Employ initiative and self-sufficiency to work in areas of ambiguity.
