Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:Regulated Pharmacy Technician registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacists. Fluency in the English language, including excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability. Ability to work in teams. Experience with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to BDM medication order entry, Connect Care/EPIC Willow Pharmacy application knowledge, checking and unit dose drug distribution systems. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative and self-motivated. Ability to demonstrate effective service attitude and act with professionalism. Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Prior experience in rural pharmacy setting. Prior experience in retail pharmacy setting. Membership with a pharmacy professional organization.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent (2 to 5 years) experience within hospital pharmacy. Recent experience with Connect Care pharmacy computer system. Pharmacy experience in a rural hospital setting preferred. Site experience preferred.
