Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:2 or more years of Hospital Pharmacy experience. 2 or more years’ experience with Non-Hazardous Sterile Compounding – Final Checking Validation within the past 6 months. Recent experience required: ADC’s (Omnicell), Precepting Students, BPMH Med review, Clinically Deployed Technician. Meditech Computer Software: 2 or more years with patient specific order entry, dispensing and inventory management. Demonstration proficiency in the following: communication (written and verbal), interpersonal abilities, organizational and problem solving skills, ability to work independently and in teams as required, continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Must be in good physical condition as a majority of shift involves: heavy lifting, standing, crouching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking and sitting for extended periods of time. Preferred Qualifications:Clinically Deployed Experience - BPMH/Med Review Trained. As Applicable (Sterile Compounding Medium Risk Preparations & Certified). Preceptor for student placements. AHS Aseptic Lead is an asset.
