As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for the packaging, distributing, shipping medications and the management and replenishment of medication inventory levels under the general supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of recognized pharmacy assistant program and/or recent retail or hospital pharmacy experience acceptable to the employer required, with working knowledge of pharmacy terms and medication names. Demonstrates excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and time management skills. Displays professionalism, tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality. Demonstrates good organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability. Must be able to work in fast paced work environment and be able to work both independently and co-operatively in a team environment. Must be able to adapt to new technologies, changing workflow patterns and be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be accurate, punctual, reliable, co-operative, and have an excellent attendance record. Must be in good physical condition as some shifts involve heavy lifting up to 40lbs, standing 60% of the time, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling up to 30lbs, and walking for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent knowledge of pharmacy software Epic, and minimum 6 months experience with automated unit dose repackaging equipment. 1+ year hospital pharmacy experience.
