Health Discipline or Nursing degree. Minimum 5 years of advanced and recent experience in the Operating Room, MDRD or perioperative services. Computer Software experience required. OR Perioperative and MDRD application(s) Desktop Office Suites I, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Visio Pro, MS Office Suite with demonstrated proficiency for MSword, MSexcel , and education video applications e.g. Captivate
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong/superior, diplomatic communication skills and proven ability to engage/lead both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated skill in complex problem solving. Demonstrated skills in leading, managing teams and multi discipline communications. Demonstrated skills in process improvements that influence and impact the organization. Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of other disciplines, health care professionals and external teams. Must be able to physically sit, stand, walk for long periods of time and lift a minimum of 30lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preparation at a master’s level for business or health care related discipline. Expert experience and working knowledge of all surgical services areas and current ORNAC, AORN standards and recommendations, current CSA standards related to MDRD including on-going research, techniques and new theories. Knowledge of Adult learning principles and course content development. Demonstrated ability to tailor educational content to reflect AHS values/goals.
