Additional Required Qualifications:

Lived experience with addiction is required. Experience working with inner city/vulnerable populations. Demonstrated experience working within a harm reduction framework. Demonstrated ability to support patient’s transition to community resources to ensure continuity of care. Demonstrated ability to share expertise and personal experiences in the context of empowering others and inspiring hope. High degree of self-awareness and capacity to establish appropriate boundaries in order to provide a non-judgmental, confidential and respectful environment. Strong communication skills including conflict management and resolution. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and tolerate long periods of standing and walking. Ability to tolerate keyboarding and telephone handling

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred post-secondary education in a related or relevant program such as social work, addiction certification or community support worker and experience in a role supporting people with substance use disorder or mental health challenges. A strong awareness of community resources and recovery model. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
