Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Graduate/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Profession, or combination of education and experience will be considered. Possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive, leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including five years' experience in a management role related to patient concerns/experience/relations/engagement. Experience working within a complex, public sector organization of significant size, complexity, or diversity.


Additional Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated comfort with decision-making responsibilities. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to forge effective working partnerships with internal and external partners, including senior leadership within AHS, Government of Alberta, and other organizations. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with effective organizational and change management skills. Ability to coach and mentor staff, to inspire and build confidence in others.


Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership and management skills. Strategic planning and implementation skills along with strong relationship management skills. Evidence of leadership development and/or industry training or certifications. Successful record of achievement as a leader, including extensive experience in leadership of a large and diverse range of functions. Knowledge/practical experience in the application of business planning, modeling concepts, and program/project management theories, principles and practices.
