Patient Care Manager
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, RAH Medicine Program, the Patient Care Manager (PCM) provides operational and clinical leadership and support to Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and front line staff of Adult Inpatient Medicine units to ensure the delivery of high quality, patient/family centered care. The PCM works collaboratively within a team of co-PCM’s, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Process Improvement Consultant on the continuous improvement of system efficiencies and patient quality and safety across 13 acute medicine units. The PCM oversees the management of human and financial resources, identifies and addresses safety and quality issues, develops and monitors performance indicators, collaborates with all members of the interdisciplinary team, lead committees and initiatives and provides continuous coaching and mentoring of members of the leadership team. The PCM develops effective working relationships with departmental leaders across the RAH site as well as physicians, frontline managers and staff to initiative, develop and facilitate change initiatives. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding and demonstrate the AHS core values and principles of the RAH Way.

Baccalaureate degree in a health care discipline and 5 years experience in an acute care setting in a leadership role is required. Current registration with applicable professional College required. Excellence in transferable/”soft” skills, including communication, teamwork and problem solving required. Equivalencies may be considered. Successful candidate must provide proof of double vaccination to COVID-19.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proven coaching and mentorships skills required as well as excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. Experience with Project Management and Lean Leadership is an asset. Proficiency in Outlook, Power Point, Word required as well as working knowledge of Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Connect Care, ESP, e People, e Manager, Oracle an asset.
