Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The candidate must demonstrate: the ability to collaborate and work successfully - both independently and with a diverse interdisciplinary team; engage clients in the Best Beginning Program and attach them to community resources; excellence in communication skills; fluency both written and verbal in another language of our BB target populations; and health promotion and program promotion experience. A minimum of 3 years outreach, health education or community development experience within the Calgary community, in addition to group facilitation skills are required. Demonstrated evidence-based practice and commitment to ongoing learning are required. The candidate must possess the ability to do extensive driving to client homes and community sites; ability to spend long periods standing and sitting as well as frequently moving and lifting work equipment and supplies taken to a variety of sites. Required strengths in computer work including MS Office package including PPT and web-based applications. Demonstrated excellence in communication skills with team members, clients and written work materials are required. Typing a minimum of 50 WPM is required. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate facilitation skills on a health education topic. Physical ability to lift, move and carry supplies and equipment up to 25lbs in and out of the car and to multiple sites is a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in a health or education related field strongly preferred. Interpreter experience in a professional setting is strongly preferred. Experience in home visitation. Experience with prenatal populations, infants, women's health, and parenting education.
