Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:This position requires commitment to a comprehensive Perioperative training program, from Grant MacEwen University followed by a full-time orientation at AHS FMC Operating Room. Completion of the perioperative nursing course is required to continue in the temporary line. This temporary one-year position, however, if an individual is not successful in completing the training program, the temporary position would end (earlier than the expected, posted date). The ability to wear lead apron, radiograph protection and any personal protective equipment (PPE) for an extended period of time is a requirement for this position. Ability to stand scrubbed for hours to support the surgical team.
