Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-Grad Perioperative Certification required. Operating Room Technician certificate required or Completion of a CLPNA approved perioperative course. 2-5 years’ experience in the OR setting. 1-3 years’ experience with Pre-Admission Clinic, pre/post op care. IV Medication Administration. Ability to start IV effectively. Effective communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with orthopedic, urology, gynecological, obstetrical - delivery /c-sections. Ability to work in a past paced environment. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods.
